How To Set Mp3 As Ringtone On Samsung Omnia ?

Put mp3 into "My Storage" outside all Folders (also known as root directory)



Go to Settings > Personal > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications

Event: drop down, select "Phone: Incoming Call"



Ring tone: drop down, select your mp3, click "OK"






How To Set Mp3 As SMS Or Message Tone On Samsung Omnia ?

*Put short Mp3 as SMS ringtone because it will play the whole song before you can read your SMS

Put mp3 into "My Storage" outside all Folders

Go to Settings > Personal > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications

Event: drop down, select "Messaging: New Text Message"

Ring tone: drop down, select your mp3, click "OK"

Dear Stan,

I tried what u suggested but the song name does not show in the drop down list under ring tone. any idea why?

Not to sure what could be causing the problem .. if u are setting it as ringtone, another method would be to place the mp3 inside your Storage Card then just right click and select "Set as Ringtone"
